In Croatia we have a kind of baby food called Cokolino, which is basically a chocolate porridge made with tiny oat flakes. It contains sugar and is made like instant oatmeal, so I tried to recreate it and make it a bit healthier. It turned out so good and so, so creamy. The secret is in grinding your oats.
Allergens: gluten (oat) | Preparation time: 10 min | Portions: 1 | Complexity: easy
Ingredients
4 tbsp oats
1 tbsp chia seeds
250 ml oat milk
1 tbsp agave or maple syrup
a pinch od cinnamon
2 pieces of dark chocolate or several chocolate chips
optional: ground hazelnuts, fruit
Preparation
Grind oats and put them in a pot with milk, chia seeds, agave and cinnamon.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on high heat, stirring constantly (otherwise it will stick to the bottom).
Remove from the heat, pour into a bowl and top with chocolate and hazelnuts.
Notes
For the best taste wait for the warmth of porridge to melt the chocolate, then mix it in.
